Fifty Shades of Gay

I read a lot of old magazines and newspapers. Looking back, it seems weird how writers felt compelled to make sure that every person's race was pointed out and clarified. I can't help feel that time will erode the need to claim sexual preference as "an identity," instead of merely part of one's identity. Our children will wonder at our obsession with labels.
